‘c r e s k’ “Awareness Day” - 2010

 ‘c r e s k’ conducted an exclusive Essay Competition for the  6th, 7th, 8th, 9th,10th,11th and 12th Std. students of Chennai district and Nearby District during September 2009. Totally 2932 students participated in the competition from 87 schools from various parts of Chennai district and nearby districts. ‘c r e s k’ “Awareness Day Function” and Award giving function for the students of Chennai district schools was celebrated on 13th Feb 2010 at Saidapet Varthagar Sangam, Saidapet, Bazaar Road, Saidapet, Chennai - 600 015.

Welcome address given by Tmt. S Jayashree, M.Sc Medical Physics, President, 'c r e s k'  and given a speech with focus on "Be the Change you want to see in the society" to the students community and youngsters.

Prof R. Muthusubramanian, Dean, Admissions, S.R.M. University, Thiru. R. Muthukumar, Editor, Makkal Kural and Trinity Mirror, Advocate S. Diwakar, Executive Committee Member, Madras High Court Advocates Association and TamilNadu Advocates Association were the special guests and given speech as well distributed the awards to the students who won the awards on Essay Contest "INDIA 2020 - MY VISION"Thiru G. Senthamizhan, M.A., B.L., MLA, Saidapet Constituency and Senate Member, Madras University who could not attend the function as he was not in city due to other engagement had sent a special greetings message praising the efforts of all the participants. He had also sent dictionary sets to students who got the educational assistance during the "Awareness Day"

Prof. R. Muthusubramanian's thought provoking speech  pointing out the importance of Higher Education.

About the Exclusive Essay Competition conducted by ‘c r e s k’ in Chennai district in 2009 - 10:

 ‘c r e s k’ conducted an exclusive Essay Competition for the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th,10th,11th and 12th Std. students of Chennai district during September 2009. Totally 2932 students participated in the competition from 87 schools from various parts of Chennai district. More than 70% (70.34%) participants are Girl Students! 33 Awards to students from various schools were distributed. Top 7 schools among the 87 schools participated in Chennai district were selected and given special awards by Thiru. Prof. R. Muthusubramanian, Thiru Muthukumar and Thiru S. Diwakar. Principals of the respective schools received the awards.

 Thiru. Prof. R. Muthusubramanian, Dean, S.R.M. University given a thought provoking speech  on “Importance of Higher Education” and  distributed the awards to the students who won the awards on the topic “INDIA 2020 - MY VISION” in Group 1. He also said that Engineers belong to the greatest profession in the world, responsible for almost everything that makes life worth living - from leisure activities to medical treatment, mobile communication to modern transport systems.

He also greeted the parents of the participants for encouraging them to take such interest.  He also profusely praised the 'c r e s k' team for conducting such laudable competitions.  He advised the parents to ensure that their children are involved in three activities :  Studies, Sports and a hobby and distributed awards to the students who won the awards on the topic : "INDIA 2020 - MY VISION" in Group 2

While ‘c r e s k’ focus area continue to be creating awareness to young minds, it also involve in assisting deserving students by means of scholarships and educational assistance.   As a part of awareness day,'c r e s k' selected 20 students from 9th and 11th standard to offer educational assistance.
